Kelsea Ballerini has released the official music video for her latest single “Heartfirst.”
The music video finds Ballerini as a girl who bumps into a guy on the street and instantly falls for him, and shows Ballerini riding a rollercoaster through the clouds, singing and playing a guitar next to a cheetah in the desert. Said Ballerini: “This is only the second time I’ve written a video treatment, but I just had such a strong visual while writing ‘Heartfirst’ that I couldn’t get out of my head. I wanted each vignette to represent a different side of the metaphor of chance while maintaining a breezy, whimsy-ness throughout. We start with a ’90s rom-com run-in, and then we go on a journey of my character’s reaction.”
“Heartfirst” is the debut single from Ballerini’s forthcoming fourth album, which does not have a release date yet.
