When Sunday Night Football returns for a new season, Carrie Underwood will be the first thing fans will see. Sunday Night Football executive producer Fred Gaudelli shared a picture of Underwood on the set of the 2018 opening on Wednesday (June 20). Gaudelli wrote alongside a picture of Underwood “Shooting the 2018 Sunday Night Football open with Carrie Underwood,” as Underwood leads a group of backup dancers. Underwood will be returning for her 6th year in 2018 in the SNF opening, singing the show’s theme. Next up for Underwood will be the release of her new album called Cry Pretty on September 14.
